Sulfur powder

Sulfur powder is an excellent way to prevent external parasites such as mites and red lice. Regularly used in horticulture as a fungicide and miticide, this product is often overlooked by poultry owners.

Use: Sprinkle a small quantity in the henhouse, wood shavings and nesting boxes. You can also mix it with sand, ashes and diatomaceous earth to give them a natural “bath”. A direct application to the hens and under their feathers can also be effective if external parasites are already present. Be careful not to apply near the respiratory tract or eyes.
