My story
My adventure began in 2015, when I acquired my first hens. I had no experience of poultry, but I've always been at ease with animals. What I didn't expect, however, was to discover such a complex and enjoyable world!
Chickens are very endearing and entertaining animals, but they also come with their share of responsibilities. You have to feed them, water them and clean the henhouse regularly. These tasks may seem easy, but they quickly become ungrateful when the feed empties to the ground and the water trough fills up with droppings every day.
As I like to find solutions, I decided to make my own feeder and waterer to limit the maintenance involved in keeping a chicken coop. After several attempts, I made a homemade model from PVC pipes, which made maintenance much simpler!
A few years later, I started to raise several breeds of chickens and named my farm RusticFeathers. This enabled me to acquire a wealth of knowledge to support and inform new hen owners. I also realized that there was a great demand for new models of drinkers and feeders that were easier to maintain.
So, in 2020, I decided to embark on the commercial design of my products. After three years of development and tests with prototypes in my hen houses, I can finally offer poultry owners a model of waterer and feeder adapted to their reality!
