Granular limestone

Granular limestone (or grit) is excellent for hen digestion. These are the small rocks that birds ingest to enable the gizzard to efficiently break down the food they eat, such as grain.

Use: Leave some in the pen or henhouse at all times. Chickens feed as much as they need. There's no need to add it to the feed, you can simply offer it in another container or place it on the floor of the outdoor pen.
